Zakynthos ShipWrech - Navagio beach
ShipWreck or Navagio, is one of the most famous and the most photographed beaches of Greece. It may be the landmark for the Greek beaches. Its name comes from the ship, which was wrecked in 1983 while it was carrying smuggled cigarettes. After a long time it was washed ashore on the beach, so now you can admire the impressive scenery. A beach with white sand and deep all blue waters. Crystal clear waters breaks on a white sandy beach, where the rusting hulk lies half-buried. Imposing cliffs, eroded by wind and sea, descend behind it completing a spectacular picture. The beach is only accessible by boat. There are daily boats leaving from the port in town or from Porto Bromi. |
